Costa Manos: American Color

Born in Columbia, SC, in 1934, Costa Manes graduated from the University of South Carolina before embarking on a career in photojournalism and fine art photography. Since 1964 he has worked as a freelance photographer in Boston and been a member of Magnum Photos. His Greek Portfolio is in the museum's permanent collection, and his photographs have been shown most recently at the Chrysler Museum (Norfolk, VA) and the Photographic Center of Skopelos (Greece).
