Jan Aronson: Portraits of Place
September 21 - October 25, 1999
Cloud Triptych #19, 1998, © 1998 Jan Aronson
The Walsh Art Gallery presents Jan Aronson's exhibition of richly colored and expressive international landscapes from all over the world, including the Amazon rainforest, the Baja Desert, and the Canadian Rockies. The exhibit will be located at the Quick Center, Fairfield University.
Also on exhibit September 21 through October 15 is Geraldine
Erman, a sculptor from Brooklyn. Her powerful work refers to the human presence
in ways both humorous and disturbing. Facial features may merge with discarded
everyday objects, or a distorted head may hang partially masked in burlap,
yet seem perfectly whole and content. She has been awarded numerous prestigious
grants and awards. Offered at the Lukacs Gallery, Loyola Hall, Fairfield
University.
