Three Illustrators: Works by Published Bay Area Artists
November 6 - December 5, 1999
The Gallery at Montalvo celebrates the holiday season with an exhibition of original work by three prominent illustrators of children's books--Laura Regan, Bob Barner, and Ashley Wolff.
Wildlife painter Laura Regan of Woodside, CA will exhibit
the entire suite of illustrations of her newly published book, Spots, as well as
oil and gouache illustrations from five of her other well known titles.

San
Francisco illustrator Bob Barner will exhibit Dem Bones, To Everything,
and selections from the charming set, Bugs! Bugs! Bugs! Barner works
with pen and ink, watercolor, and cut and torn paper. He enjoys teaching
and often visits schools and libraries to talk about his work.
Ashley Wolff, also from San Francisco, will exhibit all illustrations of her latest publication Stella and Roy Go Camping, a wonderful book set in Yosemite Valley. Her illustrations are based on the technique of linocut. The Gallery will also feature illustrations from three of Wolff's other books.
It is never too early for children to meet an artist. All three artist/illustrators will be at the Gallery Opening Reception and Book Signing on Saturday, November 6 from 3pm to 5pm. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Hicklebee's.
