13th Annual Plein Air Painters of America Show and Sale

The Society for the Advancement of Plein Air Painting will be hosting the 13th Annual Plein Air Painters of America Show and Sale in the beautiful Catalina Casino Ballroom on Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th, 1998.

Arriving from 13 states, 24 Signature Members of the Plein Air Painters of America will be joined this year by 6 guest artists. For the week preceding the show, they will paint in and around the picturesque town of Avalon, and in the rugged pristine interior of Santa Catalina Island. On Saturday, November 7th, Peter Adams, signature member of PAPA, and President of the California Art Club will kick off the festivities with a lecture, presented in the Casino's Avalon Theatre. Over 200 beautifully displayed freshly painted works of art will be presented for sale. During the course of the evening a gala buffet will be served, and entertainment will be provided by a classical string quartet. TICKETS FOR SATURDAY ARE LIMITED. RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST!

Sunday morning the ballroom is opened once again for those wishing a second viewing. Additional fresh paintings will have been hung to replace those sold the night before.
