Peter Lodato: From Installation to Painting, Selected Works 1980-2000

October 14 - December 3, 2000

In this survey of work by Los Angeles artist Peter Lodato, glowing fields of color serve as metaphors for spiritual illumination. A member of the California Light and Space movement, he has created paintings and installations over the past twenty years that possess a Zen-like beauty and serenity. This exhibition includes a monumental wall painting, the first time the Weisman Museum has hosted a site-specific installation.
