Don Reitz: Life is not a Dress Rehearsal is a 2021 exhibit at the American Museum of Ceramic Art that says: "This exhibition will add to the significant body of scholarship on Reitz's work with new research on the well-known but largely unstudied "Sara Series" (1983-91). HM100: A Century through the Life of Harrison McIntosh was a 2014 exhibit co-produced by Claremont Museum of Art which said: " This American Museum of Ceramic Art exhibition, produced in conjunction with the Claremont Museum of Art, celebrates the life and work of this legendary Claremont ceramic artist on his 100th birthday. HM100 also provide insight into McIntosh's influences and his close relationships with his contemporaries Karl Benjamin, Rupert Deese, James Hueter, and Sam Maloof." Also see AMOCA article. Kilns of Alfred: Transactions with Fire is a 2019 exhibit at the Alfred Ceramic Art Museum, Alfred University which says: "The theme of the exhibition is revealed through the lens of renowned photographer Brian Oglesbee. Large scale photographs document the personal kilns used by Alfred ceramic art luminaries and serve by analogy as individual portraits of the artists including Bob Turner, Val Cushing, Theodore Randall, William Parry, Wayne Higby, Anne Currier, John Gill, Andrea Gill, Walter McConnell, Linda Sikora, Linda Sormin, Matt Kelleher and Jonathan Hopp." Accessed 12/19
Michelle Erickson: Wild Porcelain is a 2021 exhibit at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco which says: "Specifically for Bay Area audiences, she has produced pieces that incorporate San Francisco landmarks and address local social and environmental issues. The design of these works was directly inspired by pieces in the Bowles Collection of 18th-century English porcelain, which forms the core of the Fine Arts Museums' European porcelain collections." Resurfaced, Reformed: Evolution in Studio Ceramics is a 2015 exhibit at the Tweed Museum of Art which says: "The exhibition, Resurfaced, Reformed: Evolution in Studio Ceramics, curated by former Tweed Museum Curator Joan Slack, will be on exhibition from August 19, 2014 through August 1, 2015. Nearly 77 works will be on display representing artists who have earned regional, national and international recognition. Be it through technique, ability to bridge cultures, or educational influence, these potters developed ideas, dialogue, and innovations that would profoundly affect the following generations." Georgia Public Broadcasting's State of the Arts is a one-hour arts series that introduced artists and take viewers "behind-the-scenes" for art exhibits. The host, writer and co-producer of the series is Hamilton Northcutt. As of August, 2005 there were streaming video presentations available online covering the first four episodes. Excerpts on American art include "Albany Museum of Art," "Funky Chicken Arts Project," "High Museum: The Art of Romare Bearden," "Jack Leigh," "Mark of the Potter," "The Morris Museum," and "Telfair Museum of Art," Upcoming in September, 2005 is "Zelda Grant, Fabric Artist."
Los Angeles County Museum of Art produced a video titled Color and Fire, available online through ArtBabble. According to ArtBabble, "This video explores the evolution of the 20th century ceramics in interviews with many of the leading figures in the field, including Ruth Duckworth, John Mason, Ron Nagle, Otto Natzler, Richard Shaw, and Betty Woodman. Featuring discussions about Abstract Expressionism, Funk, sculpture, vessels, and the role of ceramics in the art world . These interviews provide fascinating glimpses into the studios, lives, and work of an inspirational group of artists." Accessed June 2015.
